Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What does MRO stand for?+
MRO stands for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul — the aviation industry term for everything that keeps an aircraft airworthy: scheduled inspections, unscheduled repairs, avionics upgrades, and engine work. When we say Haven is an MRO, it means we are the shop that maintains your aircraft.
What does AOG mean?+
AOG stands for Aircraft On Ground. It is the industry term for an aircraft that cannot fly because of a mechanical issue — often away from its home base. AOG situations are treated as emergencies: parts, technicians, and logistics move at maximum priority to get the aircraft back in service. If your aircraft is stuck, call our 24/7 line at 855-77-HAVEN.
Is Haven an FAA Part 145 repair station?+
Yes. Haven operates an FAA Part 145 Repair Station at our Buffalo (KBUF) campus. Our Amarillo, Green Bay, and Rochester campuses provide full MRO and AOG service, with Amarillo and Green Bay pursuing Part 145 certification. OEM authorizations include Garmin, Blackhawk, BLR, Raisbeck, Starlink, and Collins.
What aircraft does Haven maintain?+
Effectively any turbine-powered business aircraft — jets and turboprops alike. Haven works extensively on Challenger, Falcon, Citation, King Air, and similar types, and we take aircraft beyond that list on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsure whether yours is supported, send the make and model and we will confirm.
Do you handle AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations?+
Yes. AOG calls route directly to a technician, 24/7. If your aircraft is on the ground, call rather than email so we can respond immediately.
Will you check OEM warranty before starting work?+
Yes. If your aircraft is under OEM warranty, Haven flags what is covered before opening the work order so you are not paying for work the warranty should cover.
